Digital marketers, creatives and business owners came together for a brand new networking event at Blacksheep.
The new community initiative set up by Desk Digital encourages local marketers and the digital curious to work together, to improve collaboration and learn new skills.
Dayna O’Brien, a social media specialist from Unicorn spoke about the importance of best practice, content marketing ideas and not being scared to share.
Meet, learn and network
People had the opportunity to ask questions throughout the speak and meet as well as participate in a group activity. Groups tested their marketing, SEO and copywriting skills by creating a fictional event web page.
Organiser Callum Murphy, project manager at Desk Digital said:
‘After moving back to the Island several months ago, I’ve wanted to meet local marketers and business owners as away to collaborate on new ideas. Networking at Blacksheep is a natural step towards meeting this aspiration, one which I’m passionate about.”
After the success of November’s event, The Skill Exchange will be returning to No64 in Ryde. The next event on 29 March from 6.30pm will see two workshops on digital marketing and further opportunities to network with local marketers.
