Another successful skill exchange

Digital marketers, creatives and business owners returned to No64 for The Skill Exchange on Thursday 29 March

The digital curious returned to No64 in Ryde for another evening of learning and networking at this quarter's Skill Exchange.

Two digital specialists from the Isle of Wight spoke to an eager audience keen to learn more about Facebook and LinkedIn as well as copywriting for websites.

From LinkedIn for business to copywriting

This month's event saw, Tom from communications studio, Teepee speak about best practice and top tips on how to structure web pages when writing copy. He offered an insight into his own work and experiences, providing the audience with plenty to think about.

Afterwards, Mila, Digital Manager at Datum Electronics presented ways to enhance paid campaigns on Facebook and LinkedIn. She spoke about the types of adverts available and how best to track and optimise campaigns.

After each exchange, the audience asked questions and networked with other attendees during our breakout session.

Callum Murphy, event organiser at Desk Digital said:

“We had a cracking line-up of digital talent covering complex, yet interesting areas that people sometimes overlook as part of their marketing mix. The need to be more robust with paid campaigns and how copywriting can help you communicate better online are crucial when trying to track and monitor your return on investment."

Those who couldn't attend this Skill Exchange, don't have long to wait for the next event. Networking @ Kasbah will return on Thursday 26 April from 7pm. More information will be announced shortly on our speak and meet and group activities.
